IT Support Technician - Summer 2018

Hours: Monday – Friday, 9am-1pm
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: August 31, 2018 (flexible)
Compensation: $15/hr

We are seeking an individual for part-time work during the summer of 2018 who are interested in joining a company with a casual but fast-paced and team-oriented work environment. You will provide day-to-day support to our customers as well as assist other members of our staff on various internal and external projects including hardware and software installations, network support, VoIP configuration, and general troubleshooting. This position runs through the end of August, with the possibility of becoming a full time position.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support via phone, email and remote connection
  • Document issues and configuration changes in our ticketing system
  • Communicate with vendors as necessary to resolve customer issues
  • Assist with installation of new workstations, printers and other networking equipment

This position will expose you to the following technologies:

  • Windows PC and Server Operating Systems
  • Printers/Scanners
  • MS Office Suite of Applications
  • Networking concepts/technologies: TCP/IP, VPN, etc.
  • Networking equipment: Routers, switches, etc.
  • Backup Solutions
  • Hosted Email Platforms
  • Hosted VoIP (Voice-over-IP) Platforms
  • Autotask CRM (ticketing)
  • LogMeIn RMM

This position is ideal for a college student studying an IT-related field who is looking for part-time work for the summer. We are seeking individuals with excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
